CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Indian Sanatan culture is a unique confluence of knowledge, science and spirituality. He pointed out that the scientific principles discovered by the ancient Indian sages and sages are being substantiated by modern science today.
CM Pushkar Singh described the Science City coming up in Dehradun as a big achievement for Uttarakhand, which will play an important role in promoting science, technology and innovation. He said that the state government is making government services transparent and effective with the use of technology and innovation. Technologies like Science and Innovation Centres, Digital Libraries, STEM Labs, Robotics, Drones and Semiconductors are being encouraged.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has scaled new heights in the field of science and technology. The success of Chandrayaan-3, Aditya L1 mission and the upcoming Gaganyaan mission are testament to India’s scientific achievements. The Chief Minister said that the state government is providing citizen services online by promoting e-governance. Efforts are being made to increase agricultural production through smart agriculture, drone technology and sensor-based farming.
Facilities like e-tourism portal and weather forecast dashboard for Chardham Yatra are being implemented to promote tourism digitally in Uttarakhand. Data analytics and satellite imagery are being used for research on climate change in the Himalayan regions.
CM Pushkar Singh said that continuous efforts are being made towards making Uttarakhand a self-reliant and technologically advanced state through science and technology. Soon, the first community science radio will also be launched in the state, which will take science-related information to every household, especially in areas where internet access is limited. He also inspected the Science City project and described it as an important step in the development of Uttarakhand.
